 Our Team

Trevor Nienaber (Founder)

Born on the 29th of February 1948. He grew up in Lusaka, Zambia. In 1965, he immigrated to South Africa to start an apprenticeship as a fitter and turner with Eskom. He always described those days as his humble beginnings, living in Room No. 6 of the single quarters at Klip Power Station, Redan, Vereeniging

He worked at Eskom until 1972. Trevor then ventured into precast walls, became an estate agent, and served as a manager at a bolt and nut company. In 1980, he seized the opportunity to start a bolt and nut company with two partners. He sold his caravan for R5000-00, and Ver-Bolt was established. In the early nineties, he became the sole owner of Ver-Bolt.

Despite having dyslexia, Trevor considered it his strength. In his business life, his word was his honour, and his business ethics were unquestionable. His favourite saying was, “If you talk the talk, make sure you walk the walk; if not, you will never be trusted.”

Sadly, Trevor passed away on the 10th of May 2022. His memories, leadership, and business ethics will live on at Ver-Bolt through the current management.
